I hit a big home run
Yet scored no points at all
For though I had the greatest swing
The game was basketball
– Stephan Stubbins
If all of life is a game…
…and if our habits, choices, goals, and preferences are all geared toward what we believe score us points and get us closer to “winning”…
Then it’s valuable to ask… are you playing the right game?
We can hit all the home runs in the world (money), but if happiness in our life is scored like basketball (love), when we add up the points, perhaps we’re not winning at all.
That “Scrooge” storyline is a popular one…
What games are you playing and how are you scoring points? Are you playing the game that really matters to you in the end?
Extra credit: Are you playing finite games, or “infinite” ones…?
